Hinge Health, Inc. HNGE plans to acquire Cylinder Health for $105 million in cash, giving the company a direct entry into gastrointestinal care, a market management sizes at $135 billion.

The investor question is whether Hinge can use the distribution and engagement capabilities built around musculoskeletal care to make GI a meaningful new growth engine. The opportunity is sizable, but the deal also adds integration work and near-term investment requirements.
