Medifast, Inc. MED offers investors a difficult trade-off. The stock’s forward sales valuation is discounted to its sub-industry, while the company still faces falling revenues, a shrinking coach network and continuing losses.

The balance sheet gives Medifast time to execute its Trilivy-led turnaround, and coach productivity is improving. The key question is whether those early gains can translate into renewed client acquisition, coach growth and a durable return to profitability.
