Gov. Patrick Morrisey says his office is “closely monitoring” the storm that brought hard rain and flash flooding to parts of West Virginia beginning Sunday evening.
ENNIS, Mont. — Flash flooding on Hwy 287 between Ennis and the Townsend area has caused crashes and dangerous travel conditions, with about 2 feet of standing water reported on portions of the highway.
The federal government has signed off on disaster assistance to two West Virginia counties hit hard by last month’s deadly storms and flooding. The Trump administration approved $4.5 million in individual assistance for Lewis and Upshur counties, according to a news release from Gov. Patrick Morrisey.
