(The Center Square) – After Gov. Greg Abbott issued two data center directives, several data center companies and other large companies said they will comply. One dropped its plans to build a data center, stating it couldn’t comply.Â
AUSTIN, Texas — Opposition to data centers is rapidly becoming one of Texas' most significant political issues ahead of November's general election, as a new statewide poll finds most Texans oppose building the facilities in their communities while neighboring Louisiana continues aggressively courting artificial intelligence investment.
