YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyoming — After a major explosion at the Biscuit Basin in Yellowstone National Park, scientists are reporting further activity two years later, including another small blast in June.  

BOZEMAN, Mont. — With the World Cup making headlines, a Yellowstone scientist is saying that technology researchers use to understand the park's geothermal areas is similar to visual tracking that helps explain soccer movement. 

A new pool of boiling water at Yellowstone National Park’s Biscuit Basin erupted on June 23 after forming following a small hydrothermal explosion on June 13, according to USGS Volcanoes.
