More data centers, companies, announce they will comply with Abbott directive

(The Center Square) – After Gov. Greg Abbott issued two data center directives, several data center companies and other large companies said they will comply. One dropped its plans to build a data center, stating it couldn’t comply.

SWEPCO begins grid infrastructure upgrades in Marshall using Texas Energy Fund grant

MARSHALL, Texas — Southwestern Electric Power Company launched its first grid enhancement project supported by the Texas Energy Fund in Marshall, Texas. This marks the beginning of a multi-year initiative aimed at modernizing electric infrastructure and increasing reliability throughout East Texas and the Panhandle at no additional cost to customers.
