On Saturday, MU alum Mitch Weber finished third in the discus with a throw of 209 feet, 5 inches to mark the fourth top-five finish so far this weekend for former Tigers. He joins Euphenie Andre — who won the women’s triple jump notching a personal best of 45-9 on her sixth attempt — Skylar Ciccolini and Mikayla Reed.
Ciccolini and Reed both earned fifth place finishes with the former posting a 177-8 in the women's javelin and the latter finishing the women's 10,000 meter with a time of 33 minutes, 49.23 seconds.
The USATF Outdoor Championships continue Sunday, with Hickman grad Chandler Gibbens and Mizzou alum Gabi Jacobs highlighting the final day.Â
Jacobs is primed for the women's javelin throw at 2:25 p.m., while Gibbens takes off in the men's 5,000-meter run at 4:19 p.m. Gibbens competed in the men's 10,000 on Thursday. He placed fourth, just 11 seconds behind American record-holder Grant Fischer.Â
