(The Center Square) - Gov. Gavin Newsom has announced continued partnerships with the Southern California cities of San Diego, San Bernardino and Ontario to address homeless encampments along state highways.

Under the Encampment Delegated Maintenance Agreements, local agencies work alongside the California Department of Transportation to remove encampments. The city of San Diego said in a press release that the agreement allows them to access state property to address the encampments.
