Idahoans will be able to ask questions directly to Republican U.S. Rep. Russ Fulcher at an upcoming telephone town hall.Ā
AARP Idaho will host the town hall at 10 a.m. mountain time, on July 27. The call is open to the public, not just members of the organization, according to a press release.Ā
Participants may join in by dialing 866-767-0637 toll-free or by listening in on the AARP Idaho Facebook page atwww.facebook.com/AARPIdahoand putting their questions in the chat. Questions may also be submitted ahead of time via email ataarpid@aarp.org.Ā
Ā AARP Idaho State Director Karianne Fallow will lead the discussion.
āWhat makes this teletown so interesting is itās an interactive forum, and participants will have the opportunity to speak with Congressman Fulcher and ask him their questions directly,ā Fallow said in the release.Ā
Fulcher represents Idahoās 1st Congressional District, which covers the North Idaho panhandle and the western side of the state. He has served in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2019, and is running for reelection in November against Democrat Kaylee Peterson, independent Sarah Zabel, and Constitution Party candidate Brendan Gomez.Ā
Last month, Fulcherheld a town halland fielded questions that included topics such as public land management and the Iran war.Ā
āIām grateful to AARP Idaho for hosting this telephone town hall and giving Idahoans another venue to share their counsel, ask questions, and hear directly from me about the work being done in Washington, D.C., and whatās ahead in Congress,ā Fulcher said in the press release. āI look forward to an engaging discussion about the issues that matter most to the people of Idaho.ā
