The Libertarian Party of Iowa will nominate new candidates to run for Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District and as lieutenant governor at a meeting Wednesday, party leaders said Sunday.

Originally, the replacement candidates were meant to be nominated at the Sunday LPIA State Central Committee meeting, but party officials moved the nominating date to comply with state law. The state Libertarian Party plans to name new candidates who can appear on the ballot in the contests for governor and for the 3rd Congressional District.
