SHREVEPORT, La. — As Amazon Prime Day kicks off, shoppers are looking for ways to protect their purchases from porch pirates.
Amazon spokesperson Owen Torres shared several tips to help ensure packages arrive safely and stay secure.
One of the most helpful tools is real-time delivery tracking, which allows customers to follow their package and know exactly when it will arrive.
“You can actually see where it is in the delivery driver’s car,” Torres said, giving shoppers a better chance to be home when items are delivered.
Customers can also specify a hidden drop-off location, such as behind a bush or on the side of the house, or choose to have packages delivered to one of thousands of Amazon lockers for added security.
With a little planning, shoppers can enjoy Prime Day deals without worrying about stolen deliveries.
