MINDEN, La. — A body discovered in a wooded area north of Minden has been identified as Samuel Dance of Webster Parish, according to the Webster Parish Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff Jason Parker stated that family members identified Dance from photographs taken during the ongoing investigation. The remains were found Sunday along a creek bank near Willard Ray Road and investigators believe the body had been there for several days.
