SHREVEPORT, La. — Dillas Primo Quesadillas is launching one of its largest community appreciation efforts yet, giving away more than 11,000 free quesadilla meals to teachers across Texas and Louisiana as students prepare to head back to class.

The Back-to-School on Dillas campaign will provide more than $100,000 in free meals to educators, including those in Shreveport, Bossier City, and Ruston. Teachers can register online and redeem their meal through the Dillas Diehards loyalty program.

“We wanted to say, ‘Hey, you know what? This is a welcome back,’” said Dillas founder and CEO Kyle Gordon. “This is not a celebration to the end of the year. This is a celebration of the beginning of the year.”

The company says the initiative is designed to recognize educators before the school year begins, rather than waiting until Teacher Appreciation Week in the spring. Gordon noted that teachers play a vital role in the community and deserve support year-round.

Free meals will be distributed through the Dillas Diehards program on Aug. 3 and can be redeemed through Aug. 6 while supplies last. A maximum of 1,000 meals will be available at each Dillas location.
