SHREVEPORT, La. — KTBS and KPXJ will conduct scheduled maintenance on their broadcast transmission facilities later this week, a project expected to cause temporary service interruptions for some viewers.

The work will be performed on the stations' transmitter and tower systems to help ensure the continued reliability and performance of the broadcast facilities.

The maintenance schedule includes:

  • Microwave maintenance

    • Stations: KTBS and KPXJ
    • Power: Off
    • Date: Thursday
    • Time: 12:30 p.m.
    • Duration: Approximately 2 hours

  • Radome and tower painting

    • Stations: KTBS and KPXJ
    • Power: KTBS 50%; KPXJ 50%
    • Dates: Friday and Saturday
    • Start Time: 7 a.m.
    • Duration: 2 days

Every effort will be made to minimize disruptions and restore normal operations as quickly as possible. During the maintenance periods, viewers may experience temporary interruptions or reduced signal availability.

Updated information will be provided if operational conditions require changes to the scheduled work.

The maintenance is part of ongoing efforts to maintain dependable transmission services for viewers throughout the stations' coverage area.
