SHREVEPORT, La. — July 1 marks an exciting milestone in medicine across the United States as newly graduated physicians begin residency training. At LSU Health Shreveport, 180 new residents and fellows are taking the next step of their careers. Altogether, 614 residents and fellows train across 47 accredited programs, reinforcing LSU Health Shreveport’s role as the leading center for graduate medical education in North Louisiana.
