MONROE, La. — Miss Louisiana Week is underway in Monroe, where 30 young women are competing for a share of $69,000 in college scholarships and the title of Miss Louisiana 2026, with preliminary rounds set for Thursday and Friday ahead of Saturday’s live finale.
Â
Miss Louisiana 2025 Gabrelle McLeod visited the KTBS studios, previewing the week’s competition and the upcoming crowning of her successor as statewide anticipation builds.
Â
The new Miss Louisiana will be crowned during a live broadcast Saturday night on KPXJ-TV, airing at 8 p.m.
Â
The competition is being held June 18–20 at the Monroe Civic Center W.L. 'Jack' Howard Theatre, where contestants will compete in interview, talent, and evening wear categories. Preliminary rounds take place Thursday and Friday, with finalists advancing to the televised final competition.
Â
Organizers say this year’s field represents communities from across Louisiana, with emphasis placed on scholarship achievement, leadership, and community service in addition to stage performance.
Â
For those unable to attend in person, the Miss Louisiana Organization is offering paid livestream access to the 2026 Miss Louisiana Competition, allowing viewers across Louisiana and beyond to follow the event in real time.
Â
Access can be purchased for individual nights or as a full-week package covering all preliminary competitions and the finals.
