SHREVEPORT, La. — The Red River Revel is celebrating its 50th anniversary with an expanded lineup of programming, including an arts exhibit spanning several months, a diverse music schedule, fireworks, a drone show, and new educational initiatives. The 50th Annual Red River Revel Arts Festival will take place over two weekends, Oct. 8 through Oct. 11 and Oct. 15 through Oct. 18, at Festival Plaza.

Executive Director Logan Lewis said the organization has spent four to five years preparing for this milestone. He noted that the festival reflects local culture and that the multi-month programming offers a chance to look back at the event's history while planning for the future.
