ANNAPOLIS — Legislators returned to Annapolis on Monday for a special session on redistricting, an issue that affects all Marylanders, but Eastern Shore residents in particular.

The Maryland General Assembly convened for a three-day session to consider placing a constitutional amendment on the November ballot that would establish that the Maryland Constitution provides no criteria for congressional district boundaries and would allow the General Assembly to give the Supreme Court of Maryland original jurisdiction to review the state’s congressional map.
