Bozeman, Mont. — Bozeman marked its firsteverADA celebration with a new accessible parking map aimed at making it easier for people to get around the city.Â
The first observance of Disability Pride Awareness Month was held in 2015 to mark the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. In 2026, the city hosted its first ADA celebration, as the 36thanniversary of the passing of the Americans with Disabilities act isobservedon Sunday, July 26th.Â
"Day in and day out, I'm always thinking about how to make my life more accessible. So, you know from carrying backpacks when I go grocery shopping to how I ride my bike around town, where I park, all those little things kind of add up to help my life be a little bit more well lived," saidSojitra. Â
Part of the event included the unveiling of Bozeman's new accessible parking map, whichSojitrawelcomed. Â
"I've been here for over a decade and it's always a little tricky to findspotsand I mean, downtown gets a little crowded here and there, and so it'll be nice to kind of feel a little, feel more alleviated from some of those pain points," saidSojitra. Â
