With every passing week we see more headlines confirming that the Montana Democrat Party (MDP) is in complete and utter disarray.

As former Montana Secretaries of State, we ran for election representing different parties but carried the same responsibility: to oversee fair and transparent election process in Montana. Regardless of political affiliation, we share the belief that government should answer to the people. Our state’s ballot measure process is the strongest expression of this simple principle. It gives ordinary Montanans the power to propose laws, reject bad ones, and hold government accountable.

As Montana sheriffs with decades of experience protecting our communities, we know what real support for law enforcement looks like. We have worked alongside federal prosecutors, coordinated task forces against drug trafficking, violent crime, and internet crimes against children. We have seen firsthand which leaders deliver real results.
