Montana Drivers Face Summer Crash Risks During "100 Deadliest Days Of Summer".

Bozeman police and fire crews are reminding drivers to wear a seat belt and stay sober behind the wheel. They say those steps remain the best ways to stay safe on Montana roads.

Bozeman, Mont. — With August approaching, Montana remains in the middle of the 100 deadliest days of summer, the stretch between Memorial Day and Labor Day when traffic deaths rise.  

Montana Highway Patrol reported 91 car crash deaths across the state as of July 21, 2026. In Bozeman and across the Gallatin Valley, summer tourism traffic has added to already busy roads.
