(The Center Square) – Taxpayers’ commitment to the NFL Carolina Panthers’ stadium improvements through an agreement with the city of Charlotte remains fixed at $650 million, the team said Thursday in an announcement on stadium naming rights and release of imagery.

Owner David Tepper, net worth estimated Thursday at $23.7 billion by Forbes, in June 2024 secured roughly half of renovation funding in part by creating conversation of the team relocating. The agreement included a commitment for the team to stay in Charlotte for the next 20 years.
