BERKS CO., Pa. - Governor Josh Shapiro was out on the campaign trail - making a stop right in Berks County.
It's part of his "weekend of action" where he's rallying volunteers and mobilizing voters around the Commonwealth ahead of the November midterms.
Shapiro says this year's midterms will be a referendum on quote "chaos, cruelty and corruption" coming from Washington. "I'm proud of all that we've been able to do together. I'm proud of all we've accomplished. And I know many of you are proud of that work, and you see that work in your community every day. But I also know that you're frustrated, I know that you're angry."
Shapiro was joined by State Representative Manuel Guzman and Senator Judy Schwank. He's facing off against Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacey Garrity this November.
We reached out to Garrity's campaign to see how they feel ahead of the midterms.
Her team sent back this statement that says in part - "Josh Shapiro is the least transparent Governor in modern Pennsylvania history."
It went on to mention how Pennsylvania ranks 47th out of 50th in our economy -- and how many 8th graders can not read at the level they need to.
The statement went on to say quote "Hardworking Pennsylvania Families are ready for a turnaround and Stacy Garrity's message is clear: Help is on the way!"
