York County, Pa. — Hydropower is making a comeback because of its energy storage capabilities. A proposed project in Pennsylvania's York County faces scrutiny from environmental groups, who warned it could harm the Susquehanna River and nearby communities.

The 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals recently heard arguments in a lawsuit over a preliminary permit issued to York Energy Storage for the $2.3 billion project.
