MALVERN, Iowa — Price discovery, trade and flooding were among a handful of topics discussed at a meeting between Sen. Joni Ernst and a small group of farmers and other area residents here April 19.

Ernst, who is spending Easter recess traveling the state, fielded questions for about half an hour before touring the Gregory feedlot near Randolph, Iowa. The meeting was coordinated by feedlot owner Jim Gregory and feedlot manager David Trowbridge.
