TEXARKANA, Ark. — The countdown to a new school year is underway, and the local community is invited to celebrate in a big way at the second annual Texarkana Community Back to School Bash on Saturday, July 25.
Families from all local school districts are welcome to enjoy a free morning of excitement, joy, and community connection from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Razorback Stadium, located at 1900 E. 18th St. in Texarkana, Arkansas.
The event features activities for every member of the family. Attendees can enjoy live entertainment, music, bounce houses, face painting, games, and interactive activities. There will also be opportunities to connect with local schools, churches, businesses, nonprofits, and civic organizations dedicated to supporting student success.
One of the most anticipated highlights of the day is the free backpack and school supply giveaway, which will be available while supplies last. Families are encouraged to arrive promptly at 9 a.m. to give students the best chance of receiving a backpack filled with essential school supplies. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
"The Back to School Bash is more than just a fun event—it's a celebration of our students, our families, and our community," said Genia Bullock, Director of Public Relations for the Texarkana Arkansas School District. "When our community comes together to support children, we send a powerful message that every student matters. We hope families will join us as we launch another incredible school year filled with opportunity, connection, and success."
The event is made possible through the generous support of CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System and numerous community partners, including local businesses, schools, churches, nonprofit organizations, civic groups, and volunteers committed to investing in the future of local children.
Admission is free, and everyone is welcome to attend.
