BOZEMAN, Mont. — Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen has sent a formal letter to Gallatin County Attorney Audrey Cromwell expressing serious concern over a plea agreement in the Christopher Wardle domestic violence case.

Knudsen said his office received a flood of messages after news of the agreement became public late last week. He said his office was not told about the case before the plea deal was signed and filed in District Court and could not step in to stop it.
