Last summer, a campground on the Blackfeet Reservation just outside of Glacier National Park was the site of a truly unusual new festival.

Fire in the Mountains, an established heavy metal gathering from Wyoming, moved north and reinvented itself with local collaborators with a focus on the healing power of music to bolster mental health and help prevent suicide on the reservation.
