Potential ballot measures would let voters reduce the Butte-Silver Bow Council of Commissioners from 12 seats to five, with one as mayor, and put a non-elected city-county manager in charge of day-to-day operations of local government.

The Butte-Silver Bow Local Government Study Commission crafted the proposals as possible changes voters could decide on in the November election nine months from now.
