HELENA, Mont. - The Queen Gulch Fire is estimated to be burning 20 to 30 acres just over a mile south of Crow Peak and is 0% contained, according to the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest. The fire started on Tuesday, July 28.

"Fire activity remains minimal, with active burning observed along the perimeter," the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest said. "Firefighters are assessing access routes and potential containment line locations. Steep, rocky terrain and numerous snags—both fallen and standing dead timber—are complicating access and firefighter safety."
