TTM TechnologiesTTMI is seeing its defense pipeline expand meaningfully, with rising bookings, a larger backlog and strong strategic alignment providing greater visibility into future revenue growth.
The company's Aerospace & Defense (A&D) business generated 14% year-over-year revenue growth in the second quarter of 2026, reaching $382.8 million. The segment benefited from strong defense budget spending, strategic program alignment and bookings across missiles, munitions, mission systems and specialty assemblies. A&D book-to-bill reached 1.3, pushing total program backlog to $1.7 billion, up from $1.5 billion a year ago. The combination of revenue growth, positive book-to-bill and a growing backlog indicates continued momentum in the A&D business.
TTMI's qualified A&D strategic pipeline exceeded $7 billion, while recent bookings included the APS-153 maritime surveillance radar, ATP Sensor System, Golden Dome and multiple restricted programs. Management is also pursuing additional Golden Dome awards, munition programs and emerging technologies, creating paths for further order growth.
TTMI is expanding A&D facilities and beginning the volume ramp of Ultra-HDI products at its Syracuse facility, supporting domestic high-volume production for national-security requirements. Management expects A&D sales to grow in the low-to-mid teens in 2026, supporting the view that defense could remain an important contributor to TTMI's overall growth.
In line with this growth outlook, the Zacks Consensus Estimate indicates 31.08% revenue growth for 2026. If the company continues converting its sizable A&D pipeline into bookings and production, defense-related demand could provide an important foundation for long-term revenue growth.
How Are Competitors Doing?
Sanmina CorporationSANM competes with TTM Technologies in A&D through high-technology PCB fabrication and capacity expansion. SANM is investing in advanced PCBs for aerospace and defense, while TTM Technologies is expanding Ultra-HDI capacity and pursuing defense awards. Sanmina’s growing capabilities therefore target similar high-reliability defense-electronics demand.
Mercury SystemsMRCY overlaps with TTM Technologies in defense electronics, production programs and expanding capacity. MRCY reported record bookings and nearly $2 billion of backlog in the fiscal fourth quarter of 2026, with opportunities across munitions, space and missile defense. Mercury Systems is therefore pursuing the same defense spending tailwinds that support TTM Technologies’ expanding A&D pipeline.
From a valuation standpoint, TTMI stock is currently trading at a forward 12-month Price/Sales ratio of 2.62X compared with the industry’s 3.96X. TTMI has a Value Score of D.
