EnerSys ENS reported its first-quarter fiscal 2027 results on Aug .12.  Its adjusted earnings came in at $3.66 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $2.82 by 29.8%. The bottom line increased 64.1% year over year, aided by margin expansion, IRC 45X benefits and a $30.9 million tariff refund.

Net sales of $936 million topped the consensus estimate of $923 million by 1.4% and increased 4.8% year over year. Pricing contributed 3%, foreign currency translation added 1% and organic volume rose 1%. Backlog was flat year over year but increased 2% sequentially.
