Last month, the FDA approved Lytenava for the treatment of neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD), commonly known as wet AMD. The approval, which came ahead of schedule, marked a significant milestone for the company, with the prospect of bringing the drug to the U.S. market.
In June 2026, the FDA accepted the resubmitted biologics license application (BLA) for Lytenava in wet AMD.
The approval followed the FDA’s acceptance of the resubmitted BLA, after the company resolved the issues raised in the FDA’s complete response letter in December 2025. Outlook Therapeutics expects to launch Lytenava in the United States by the end of 2026, making the upcoming commercial launch an important potential catalyst for the stock.
As Outlook Therapeutics prepares to report its third-quarter fiscal 2026 results later this week, investors are likely to focus on the company’s U.S. launch plans for Lytenava. A successful launch could improve investor confidence in Lytenava’s revenue potential and provide further upside to OTLK shares.
More on OTLK’s Lytenava Rollout in Europe
Lytenava has been commercialized across the European Union and the United Kingdom since 2024. Outlook Therapeutics commenced commercial launch of Lytenava in Germany and the United Kingdom as a treatment for wet AMD.
Over the past few quarters, Outlook Therapeutics has generated modest revenues from Lytenava sales in ex-U.S. markets. However, European product sales are likely to improve sequentially, as Lytenava is already launched in select markets and management previously noted a recovery in unit sales following an initial slowdown.
Now that Lytenava is approved by the FDA, it should hold stronger commercial momentum ahead of the planned U.S. launch.
It can be inferred that the company will be more focused on the U.S. commercial rollout, inventory availability and reimbursement progress of Lytenava.
Outlook Therapeutics’ recent development with Lytenava indicates long-term growth potential.
