Foodie history has been made in Montana. Bozeman's Wild Crumb bakery is the first eatery in the state to win a competitive James Beard Award.

Local spots have been nominated before but have never reached the finish line until Wild Crumb. They took the top spot for Outstanding Bakery — nationwide — during the annual ceremony in Chicago on Monday.
