Nevada state lawmakers are considering a wide-range of health-related policies in the next year’s legislative session that includes implementing a slate of maternal health protections in a “momnibus” bill, bolstering efforts to investigate Medicaid insurance fraud, and reducing reporting requirements for state health agencies. 

Also at Tuesday’s interim Health and Human Services committee meeting, discussion to study – instead of fix – the state’s outdated child welfare funding formula, as well as a plan to discontinue a state report analyzing access to services for those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder were met with disappointment.
