LIVE OAK COUNTY – Three Live Oak County food establishments received high scores during the latest monthly retail food establishment inspections conducted by the Live Oak County Health Department.
The Hideaway at Arrowhead received the highest score, earning a perfect 100. According to the inspection report, the restaurant was organized and clean, resulting in a “great job” notation on the report.
Mustang Hollow Campground received an overall score of 96. The establishment was cited for failing to properly refrigerate ingredients and for not having a certified food manager and an authorized food handler present.
Lagarto Convenience Store received a score of 94. Points were deducted for failing to properly label and date foods, needing additional internal thermometers, dust on shelves and cans, and not having paper towels available in the restroom.
The July inspections were conducted by Patricia Gonzalez with the Live Oak County Health Department.
